My Take on the Current Political Turmoil in Egypt!

duality-1003292_640I know I must speak up, I know I am expected to speak up, and aware of my responsibility to speak up, being affiliated with “Islamic Awareness” and what relates to it. Well yes I feel the urge to share my standpoint, even though I don’t know how to put it in words. But I’ve also grown so weary of the ranting political jabbering that’s been going on for two years or more, and worse than ever over the past year, since a figure representing an Islam-affiliated  group came to power, and I wish not to echo the repeatedly used and largely erroneous term “Political Islam”, for indeed there’s nothing called or should be called political Islam …

Rather there is Islamic politics, which requires reshuffling of our educational system and ages to educate sound mentalities and pure hearts, people who are exposed enough, skilled enough and have clear understanding of Islam, free of any personal or preferred inclinations.

What I see going now is an outright and well-planned plight, a sad affliction that requires much self-restraint and wisdom. True we cannot fully understand the situation and what’s going behind the scenes. True we are not very much satisfied with how the President ran the affairs of the country over the past year, and one year, in my view, is a good enough period, to give us a clue about the approach the Presidency is to be following the coming three years. But is there a hidden agenda ran by evil motives that’s benefitting from this chaotic scene calling on the President to step down.

Certainly there is. Regardless of the good intentions of those who flocked the streets today, accompanied by their families and children to voice their resentment of the Muslim Brothers and President Mursi. As a matter of fact I now believe that those who forced the previous regime to step down were delusional as to where the country will be heading for, and what should come next. I now believe that some were used by foreign states to achieve their evil plans targeting our dear country, even without them knowing so and even being quite sure they’re giving their lives for the sake of the country.

What’s happening now is another chapter in a sad scenario that started with the Revolution, developed with the deterioration of conditions in the country, starting with the overthrow of the previous regime, the SCAFF rule and reaching the climax with the MB rising to power and failing to resist corruption or even run the country.

Let me recall a Hadith here wherein the Prophet, peace be upon him, was reported to have said:

“There will be afflictions (in the near future) during which a sitting person will be better than a standing one, and the standing one will be better than a walking one, and the walking one will be better than a running one, and whoever will expose himself to these afflictions, they will destroy him. So whoever can find a place of protection or refuge from them, should take shelter in it.”
This is a noble Hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)

I plead with everybody to check the credibility of the news they’re spreading, apply much self restraint, consider the consequences of words they say and write, and over and above “Boycott Both Demonstrations, those which are for and those against the President”. We need to calm down and yes return to Allah and ask him to show us the way.

Stop an imminent bloodbath!!!

And bear in mind the picture we now see is absolutely incomplete!

And then again I am only “bound to be true”.
